Guest post written by my buddy Aldo Mays My three teenagers are so obsessed with Facebook, lately. Ever since we hooked up internet access through WildBlue Kentucky they are always fighting over who gets to be on the computer. I’m thinking about drawing up a schedule for them so that they won’t have so many fights anymore. Since we only have one computer at home it’s hard to split the time, and the oldest is always claiming he should get priority. When I got connected to the internet I was hoping my kids would use it more for educational purposes and college applications. Little did I know that they would become Facebook addicts. I still don’t really get the allure of Facebook. Things have really changed a lot since I was a kid. We used to actually make plans to get together and do something fun. If I wanted to say something to a friend, I’d pick up a phone and call them. These days kids think it’s more fun to chat online and post pictures of themselves than do anything active. I try to encourage them to get out more now that they are older, but they just want to be online. I wanted to start drinking Anmum milk ever since we were working on conceiving. Unfortunately, there is none that you can see and buy anywhere here in the US– in store or online. The manufacturer’s website revealed that this brand is only available in Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia, and so I was partly disappointed. I just resorted to taking Folic Acid supplements the previous months. When I finally became pregnant though, I felt like drinking one is really a need. See, I am not a milk drinker at all, and my 5-year-old daughter follows such pattern. Thus, her weak teeth because of lack of calcium when I was still pregnant of her. Even with the so many kinds and brands of fresh milks here to choose from, their smell and taste are just not bearable for me. Lol. Now, as much as I can, I want to provide the necessary nutrients that our second child needs. Aside from the prenatal vitamins that I have been taking, I am thankful to my sister based in Hong Kong because she sent me a box of Anmum Powdered Milk which last week which I got last Tuesday. This sure are enough stocks for me! I am glad that she understood my desire and my need to drink this kind of milk. Thus, she sent me this before she leaves Hong Kong bound for home (in Davao) after Christmas. For mommies who have been supplemented with this particular milk for pregnant women, I am sure you understood my need. And more than anything else, I am thankful that this milk’s taste and smell is just like how Bear Brand or Nido brands smells like!
