Today I have a former librarian and book lover named Jamie here to share more about her blog with you guys! Check her out below. Name: Jamie (aka tubathespian)Nickname and/or blog name: Three Cheers For Literacy!!Blog URL: threecheersforliteracy. blogspot. comTell me a bit about yourself. I'm a 23-year-old former librarian, now working as an administrative assistant. When and why did you start your blog? I started my blog about a month ago, for a couple reasons. Mostly because I started reading a bunch of book blogs and wanted to join in the fun! Also to have a place to keep track of all the books I read and my opinions of them. What is your blog all about? Any cool features you want to share? I mostly try to write reviews on my blog; I join it a couple memes here and there, but I want it to be primarily about the books I read. What are some of your favorite genres and/or books currently? I really like YA these days; my favorite books I've reviewed so far have been Dairy Queen by Catherine Gilbert Murdock and The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks by E. Lockhart. These days, I'm really into books about boarding schools (I have no idea why) and books that are really, really funny. My all-time favorites, which fit into that second category, are Bad Kitty and Kitty Kitty by Michele Jaffe. I recommend those to strangers at the library; they're that good. How do you find out about the books you read? In some cases, there are books I've been meaning to read for years. In others, it's reviews I see on other people's blogs. I also read the Book Reviews posted at Unshelved. com (a funny web comic about a library, if you don't know), and I've gotten some suggestions from there. Any tips or advice for those starting or thinking about starting a blog? Don't worry about what other people are going to think. If it's something that will make you happy, just go for it! Also, don't feel like you have to post every day or week or whatever. Feeling that kind of pressure will only stress you out. Thank you Jaime for stopping by! I love the feel of your blog and will be stopping by when I can!
