A Love Everlasting

A Love Everlasting Valentine’s Day? I have written several posts in the past about Valentine’s Day and today, I’m not gonna do that. Instead, I’ll leave you with this beautiful Bible text that’s good enough to assure us that with a spouse or a partner in life or not, we are loved by Somebody Greater Than You and Me. This is what Jeremiah 31:3 tells us, “I have loved thee with an everlasting love: and, with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.” February 14th is not a big deal to me at all! It’s the same ordinary day and today is even more traumatic because of some bad news that greeted me last night from my loved ones back in CDO. However, my husband did something special when he e-mailed me this afternoon while he was at work. It was just an e-mail but it was good enough to make my day! It went… Tol Sweetheart, The calendar says today is Valentine’s Day. In the past February 14th that I spent with you, there was never a fancy dinner or a pricey treat I was able to give you. Sorry sweetheart, you married a charming but an unromantic guy! Hehehe. I only have hugs, kisses, I love you’s, massages, and offers to have you sit down and watch me do the dishes or clean the mess that Triz and Tiara made, just not the folding of laundry, haha! But I can cook the rice, too, and fry or boil the eggs anytime you ask me to! Those are easy jobs! Way easier than solving quadratic equations! I could get you flowers or anything that you like but I don’t have cash in my wallet and when you see it on our credit card bill, I am sure you will say it’s just a waste. Hahaha! I guess that makes me a lucky guy, don’t you think? Haha! I know you will not like me to copy anyone’s work but I have to confess to you today that I am a big time plagiarist. You see, Jesus is the Author of LOVE. But, He permits everyone who will imitate the kind of love that He has. I might not be copying it perfectly but He is my model in what I do as a husband and a father to two beautiful girls you helped me fathered to. So, I hope you don’t mind me plagiarizing Jesus’ way of loving. I love you Tol, today and always! See you later and you can leave the dishes in the sink for me tonight, tomorrow, and whenever you want me to. Thank you for keeping us healthy, making us happy, for being a beautiful soul and for being in my perimeter every day! P. S. If we can’t have a date here as often as we want to, remember– in heaven, it’s you that I want to stroll with for eternity. Keep the faith! Your charming husband, (ooppss! I heard you laughing!)Jon And on Triz’s desk, she had these for her housemates: So pretty much, I didn’t really have a boring February 14th! I have healthy yummies in my kitchen, I have good health despite the migraine attack yesterday, and most of all, I have a God Who blessed me with such awesome housemates which makes homemaking easy and fulfilling! I hope you have had a wonderful February 14th as well!
